August 10, 2017: NO Salmon Fences to be Installed in Marymoor Dog Park River this Year

Marymoor Dog Park River access to remain open to dog activity during 2017 Salmon Run!

S.O.D.A. has been notified by the King County Parks management team that the temporary “Salmon Closure Fencing” that has been placed in the river at the Dog Park access areas during the salmon migration season for the past 18 years, will NOT be installed this year.  Apparently, a conversation has been had with Washington Fish and Wildlife, and they did not deem it necessary.  So if everything stands as is, dogs will have access to the river throughout the season.  S.O.D.A. will keep you posted if anything changes.
