“Floating Booms” installed to restrict River Access at Marymoor Dog Park during the 2019 Sammamish River Salmon Run!

King County has installed “Floating Booms” in four Dog Park access points to the the Sammamish River. These “Floating Booms” are a new system that replaces the chain link fences used in past years in order to restrict river access and provide a stress free deep river channel for salmon migration.  Dogs and people must remain in the areas of the river enclosed by the “Floating Booms”.  King County will remove the “Floating Booms” when river water is cooler and deeper in November.  The 5th south-most access point is temporarily closed during this time.  Your cooperation with these restrictions is appreciated. Thanks!
