Yesterday (12/31/19) S.O.D.A. Volunteers worked very hard to fence-off standing water and fragile areas in the closed SE corner of the Dog Park so that this area could be re-opened for access/usage.  Expect that the current closed areas will remain closed and protected from damage throughout the 2020 Winter/Spring wet season.

WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP!  Please respect all closure signage and KEEP OUT of AREAS that are CLOSEDTHANK YOU!

Marymoor Dog Park Flooding Closure Information & Dec 23, 2019 Photos of Closed SE Dog Park:

Swamp Dog Bridge 12/23/19

All of the heavy rain last few days (4-6 inches) has once again caused extensive field flooding throughout the Dog Park.  The Sammamish River has risen as rain water drained into the riverbasin and fields are saturated.  While the problem is not as bad as it was back in 2006, we closed off access to the south east corner of the Dog Park early Saturday morning (Dec 21) to keep people out of there until we have a chance to assess the situation, fix any damage to Swamp Dog Trail and possibly close-off specific areas that are under water.  T-posts with caution tape and “AREA CLOSED–KEEP OUT” signs have been installed in three locations that access into this area.  We decided not to put up wire fencing to close the area at this time as we are hoping that the river water will recede over the next week and we will be able to get in there and do the necessary work to protect our saturated fields, repair our trail and ensure that the area is safe to use.   Note: The flooded fence-line field between Dog Watch Bridge and Soggy Dog Bridge has also been closed and will remain so until late spring.  WE NEED YOUR HELP!  Please respect all closure signage and KEEP OUT of AREAS that are
CLOSED
THANK YOU!
